A lonesome boy accompanies his mother on a trip to clean out his late aunt's house, and ends up forming an unexpected friendship with the retiree who lives next door.

It’s really hard to find these really intimate family dramas and for them to be done in a way that’s not melodramatic but really grounded, so for me I would love for people to watch Driveways and just have it connect to this really deep part of their humanity. For me, that’s what makes cinema so special is that it’s such a way to connect with human beings.
